Tec 50 and Tec 50 Trimix

The Dive Shop is Calgary’s most active technical diver training centre. We go above and beyond what’s outlined in the PADI program to give you the best training possible. The PADI Tec 50 course builds upon the skills you learned in the Tec 45 program by extending your knowledge and skills to conduct dives to a maximum of 50 metres/165 feet while using two decompression cylinders and making multi-stop decompression dives. You must be prepared for this challenge as it's not easy to reach this level. Earning your Tec 50 certification opens the door to deeper diving expeditions.

There is also an option for divers to earn a Tec 50 Trimix Diver certification.

Tec 50 Trimix (option)
Curious about the benefits of using Trimix gas, like decreased gas density and reduced narcosis? Tec 50 divers can also learn to use trimix with not less than 21 percent oxygen and not more than 40 percent helium. This course prepares the diver to move into deeper, more complex trimix diving, such as the PADI Tec Trimix 65 and PADI Tec Trimix courses. Ask your dive instructor what additional requirements you may need to complete the Tec 50 Trimix option.
