Your Open Water Certification consists of three components: Knowledge Development, Confined Water Training, and Open Water Dives. This is the first part - the first step - to beoming a PADI Open Water Diver. This is the E-Learning (digital) version of Pool and Class, where you complete the knowledge development portions at home. When you're ready, you can book the pool and open water components with us, or any PADI facility worldwide!

Your Knowledge Development will prepare you to complete your confined water and open water dives through the introduction and in-depth study of diving skills, safety, physiology, and problem management. Through five modules, you'll cover the following:

-Use and basic maintenance of scuba diving gear

-Management of problems underwater and at the surface

-Mastery of skills required to dive safely

-Dive theory and physiology

-Dive computer use

Prerequisites:

-Minimum 10 years old (Junior Open Water)

-Good swimming skills

-Completion of PADI Medical Questionnaire

Included in Course:

-E-Learning Training Code (emailed to you within two business days of registration)

*Please note - there are no physical training materials for the E-Learning version of the course, your manual will be in digital format.

Upon completion of this course, you will be ready to enrol in your Confined Water component, the go on to complete your four open water dives, and earn your PADI Open Water Certification. These dives can be completed at any PADI facility worldwide - or locally, in our beautiful mountain lakes.

Medical Waiver

Your crewpack will contain a medical waiver that you are required to fill out. You will need to physically answer 'YES' or 'NO' to all the questions asked. If you have any 'YES' answers - no worries, you will need to get a doctor to sign off prior to being allowed to participate in the pool portion of the course. Please note this is a requirement to being able to get in the pool. If you come to class with a 'YES' and no Doctor's approval, you will be required to reschedule.
